Rosso Riserva Vesuvio Lacryma Christi DOC Wax Seal

Fabulous. we were there. They shipped our case of wine and it was already home before we got there.

The Vesuvio Lacryma Christi Riserva wax seal arrived shortly after our return from Italy. Soon thereafter we opened our first bottle … Wow! The wine is even better than we remembered it from our lunch visit to the winery. Absolutely a wonderful wine with great notes and an exceptionally intriguing finish … we really enjoy the mineral tones. It’s is now one of our favorite daily dinner wines. My only regret is that we didn’t order more when leaving the winery so we’ll be ordering more (a lot more) very soon. Soon we’ll be trying the Olive Oil and Vinegar so stay tuned in!

Really enjoyed this Rosso Riserva—great balance and super drinkable. Nice dark fruit flavors with a bit of spice and that subtle earthy/mineral touch you’d expect from Vesuvio wines. Smooth tannins, not too heavy, with a clean, lingering finish.
Definitely feels authentic and well-made… plus the wax seal is a cool touch. Would absolutely buy again! 👍

Candidly, I'm not fond of the wax...it's probably me and I'm not smart enough to figure out how to open it without wax in the bottle or cutting my hand. Regardless, I have not been as fond of this wine in the past as I am of the other rosso's you've sent, but this time I really enjoyed it. This year's was not as tannic and more smooth. I was very pleasantly surprised and delighted!

This wine is a family favorite for its depth of flavor. Dry and smoky, it has a uniqueness we love.

My favorite bottle of red wine. Once you have it, it’ll become your favorite as well.

I was fortunate to go to the Cantina Del Vesuvio for lunch… so delicious and a wine tasking …. Wow wonderful. I loved the Rosso wine so much I had a case shipped to my home in Maryland . It arrived in time and securely packaged.

Ordered the wines we tasted during our visit to the winery. A great day spent with family! Now just waiting on a special occasion to open the bottles we had shipped home. We enjoyed the wine we had at our tasting, along with the delicious lunch. March 2025.

Love this wine. I would give it a few more years in the bottle as I think it will only get better. It is round and bright and big and dry.

Love this wine and so does my whole family. It is not often when we all can agree. It is bold yet smooth.

We shipped three different wines back to the USA. All arrived in good condition. The winery was an excellent
visit on our trip to Italy. The wines are exquisite in all facets of our limited expertise. But, we know what is
what tastes really good with food. The meal at the winery was just fabulous and the staff
was both super friendly and helpful towards understanding the different pairings. We would highly recommend
this winery for anyone visiting Vesuvius. The product is extra worthy of shipping it to a different home country!!
