From the base of a volcano!

My wife and daughter in law love this wine!
We bought six bottles while at winery. The tour and the tasting was amazing. Recently we bought six more bottles and were a bit surprised that they were shipped to us from greater Chicago! It makes sense as demand for this wine must be higher than even we expected. Quickly delivered and now being enjoyed!

This is a very rich and full bodied wine that I have used for personal Christmas giving and always ensure to explain that it must be allowed to breathe sufficiently and when consumed to do so in a manner such that it can be savored slowly to allow all the various flavors to permeate the taste buds; to do less is to miss all the notes that are present in this offering. It really needs no accompaniment other than family or friends.

We tell the story of the wine and then drink a toast while savoring it in the manner described after a Christmas prayer and while reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas. We then suggest that remainder be put back to use again at Easter and Thanksgiving.

We thank you for producing this very special wine.

Special treat from the slopes of Vesuvius

This is a superb wine from native grapes on Vesuvius and vinified with care and expertise. I have now enjoyed 3 different vintages of the Riserva, starting from visiting the Cantina in 2018. It's consistently a rich wine, smooth but solid tannins, black currants, plums... It's a wine you cannot find in the US - and how wonderful that this is from a family business.

Positive Surprise

We recently visited Cantina Del Vesuvio winery and tasted their wines while taking a cooking class with Ester. I highly recommend her cooking classes. We had a great time. We sampled the Riserva and were surprised how smooth it was. Decanting the wine makes it even better. One of the best wines I have ever had!
