From Our Family Vineyard on Mount Vesuvius · Posted October 2025
As the autumn colors begin to sweep across the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, we are delighted to share the story of this year’s harvest — one that has brought both exceptional fruit and a deep sense of gratitude.
Watch the 2025 harvest come to life — from grape to glass.
A Season of Balance and Beauty
The 2025 harvest has been among the best in recent memory, both in quality and in quantity. The weather was close to perfect: timely rainfall, no excess humidity, and slightly cooler temperatures than in recent years. The grapes ripened slowly and evenly, creating beautifully balanced fruit with vibrant aromas and excellent structure — the kind of harvest every winemaker dreams of.
New Investments at the Winery
This year, we invested in two new wine presses — one dedicated to white grapes and another for red — allowing us to handle the grapes even more gently and preserve more of their natural character. At Cantina del Vesuvio, technology serves tradition: every innovation helps refine our craft while staying true to the methods that define our wines.
A Peaceful and Joyful Harvest
This harvest season was remarkably calm. The grapes were healthy and intact, so there was no rush — allowing us to take our time and enjoy every moment. Many visitors happened to be at the winery during harvest and were thrilled to take part — watching (and sometimes helping!) as we picked grapes, filled wheelbarrows, and began pressing the first juice of the season.
Visitors from Around the World
It has been another incredible season of hospitality here at Cantina del Vesuvio. Thousands of guests from around the world visited this year to discover our organic vineyards, taste our wines, and learn about our family’s story. Every visit brings renewed energy to our work, and we’re deeply grateful to our Wine Club members who continue to support and celebrate our wines from afar.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Maurizio, Giovanni, and the Russo Family
